Lace up your hiking shoes, grab a water bottle and enjoy the spectacular Shoalhaven landscape. Whatever your fitness or skill level is, you'll find the perfect walking track here e.g.

At North Nowra, you'll find tree adventure courses. Swinging, leaping, climbing and flying though the forest. Find the level to suit you.

Shoalhaven Zoo boasts an extensive collection of native and exotic animals, set in amongst the most spectacular natural rock formations and bushland, all on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River.

Nowra Tree Adventures


Nowra is world famous for rock climbing. The Grotto Cliffline, Thompsons Point, Bens Walk, Hospital Rocks

According to The Crag - "Nowra has the best sport climbing in the state. Sometimes ugly, but great climbing, with a huge variety of styles. Also home to some of the state's hardest bouldering"


Shoalhaven offers cyclists the perfect ride to suit every age and every level: road, off-road and shared paths. Take a ride along the coast or into the mountainous, remote forests of eastern New South Wales e.g.

> Berry, 16km ride, Easy

> Ulladulla, 10km ride, Medium

> Huskisson, 13km ride, Easy


There are plenty of waves to be caught! With water temperatures around 22 degrees in summer and 15 degrees during winter, Shoalhaven has some of Australia's best surfing spots all-year round. Culburra Beach, Caves Beach, Currarong, Shoalhaven Heads, Seven MIle Beach, Gerroa, Comerong Island, Kinghorne Point, and many more.

Horse riding is great fun for the whole family and can be found at Kangeroo Valley, Falls Creek and Jaspers Brush.


A few of the local wineries are Cambewarra Estate Winery, Coolangatta Winery, Two Figs Winery, The Silos, Crooked River Wines and a little further south Cupitts Winery 


For the keen golfer Worrigee Links is just across the paddock. 3 minutes by road, and for the budding golfer there's the Nowra Driving range and Putt Putt just a bit further down the road.

The Shoalhaven has many places to entice your taste buds... 

If your a coffee connoisseur you'll love the award winning Hyper Hyper in Nowra.

For breakfast or lunch there's The Hopper Society, 91 Junction Street, The Cake Shop, Deli on Kinghorne and many more all in central Nowra. Or for a great view of the river there's the Dish and Spoon on Scenic Drive. Or you might like to take a drive to Berry with your choice of many cafes and boutique shops.

If you love Pizza - Woodys Woodfired Pizza in Kalendar will deliver for a night in or Flame in North Nowra for a night out.
